Treasure Tables Joins the 9rules Network

I’m pleased to announce that Treasure Tables has joined the 9rules Network [1].

TT was one of the 509 sites that applied for membership during the network’s most recent round of submissions [2], and I’m thrilled to have become part of this nifty community. Coupled with having my link posted on Slashdot [3], the past week has been pretty exciting for TT!

Apart from displaying the pretty leaf logo, 9rules places no restrictions on their member sites [4] (something that was, and is, very important to me). If you enjoyed TT before, you’ll enjoy it as a part of 9rules — I’ll still be posting the same mix of tips, ideas, advice and other resources for GMs.

Joining 9rules, however, means that TT is now part of a community of bloggers dedicated to making their blogs better — and that’s something I can really get behind!

I joined 9rules because I really like their approach — here’s a snippet from their “About the 9rules Network [5]” page:

The 9rules Network is about building a community of high quality websites as well as a community of highly discerning readers.

To the best of my knowledge, Treasure Tables is the first — and possibly the only — RPG blog to join the 9rules Network. This is a great opportunity for me to not only raise the profile of this blog — which will bring in more readers, more commenters and more GMs interested in discussing the hobby that we’re all so passionate about — but also to raise the profile of RPG blogging in general.

One of my goals with this blog has always been to build a community of smart, passionate GMs who enjoy sharing ideas — and membership in 9rules is another way to help that community continue to grow.

That, in a nutshell, is why I joined the 9rules Network. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, let me know in the comments!

(Update: You can read the official 9rules announcement [6] over on the 9rules blog [7].)

Simon: I’m curious to see if any other RPG bloggers applied, or were accepted. The next couple of weeks should be pretty interesting.
