Free Dungeon Tile Mapper

The Wizards of the Coast [1] website offers a free utility called Dungeon Tile Mapper [2] for GMs.

Starting with a blank grid, you drag and drop tiles from WotC’s various Dungeon Tiles products (which are quite pretty). Once they’re on the map, you can move them around, rotate them, etc.

You can save and print the maps you create, and there’s also a downloadable version [3] available (2.92 MB .zip file). Pretty nifty.

That is a nice little tool. The Dungeon tile sets are really nice, and one of the few WOTC products that I can find use for. This is great even for just setting up what to do with your tiles.

It’s a nice tool but my group uses hex grids and you can’t find much for hexs.

That’s true, Lotus — I don’t think I’ve ever seen an online tool for generating hex maps. I bet there’s at least one out there, though.
