Eureka has been nominated for a 2010 Golden Geek Award for Best Supplement!

Thank you VERY much to all of the Gnome Stew readers who voted to get Eureka nominated — this is a huge and unexpected honor.

The Golden Geek Awards are given out every year by BoardGameGeek, one of the largest and best-known board gaming communities on the web. They recently began covering RPGs and video games, and this is the first year that they’ve includes RPGs in the Golden Geek Awards.

We’re blown away to have Eureka nominated after just three months on the market, and we’re in pretty amazing company: competition for Best Supplement includes the Player’s Handbook 3, Dark Sun Campaign Setting, and the Burning Wheel Adventure Burner. My first reaction was “Whoa!”

Please Vote for Eureka

If you’re a fan of Eureka, Engine Publishing, or the Stew, please vote for Eureka! Voting is now open and ends on October 31, 2010.

To vote, you need to be a BoardGameGeek member and meet any one of three criteria: have a supporter badge from any year, have purchased an avatar, or pay a one-time 20 GeekGold fee. Here’s how it works:

  1. Visit the Golden Geek Awards RPG voting page
  2. Click on the “Best Supplement” button up top
  3. Click on the box to the right of Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters
  4. Rate Eureka a “1” (the highest rating)

That’s it! There’s no “submit” button — once you’ve rated Eureka (and any other nominees you’re interested in), your vote will be counted when voting closes.

Thank you so much for supporting Eureka, Engine Publishing, and the Stew!

Update: Want to vote, but don’t meet the above criteria? You still can!

Another way to qualify to vote is to have an avatar, if anyone would like to vote all they need to do is register at the site and send me a geekmail (the internal messaging system at RPG Geek) and Iโ€™ll spot you the GeekGold to get an avatar. My username there is jmilum.
